I believe that young people deserve schools that promote their health and wellbeing, prepare them to lead and thrive, and cultivate an active concern for the common good. The status quo in education leads to students who are stressed out and unhealthy – excellent rule-followers who are deeply concerned about their own futures but rarely empowered to do something about it. This must change.

An experienced Head of School, Trustee, administrator, teacher, coach, and mentor for more than twenty years, I taught full-time for 11 years in Los Angeles, Chicago, and San Francisco, before moving into leadership positions.
